Language Product Manager

As our Language Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving our entire Language Product: what we teach and how we teach across all of our platforms and ensuring a consistent brand experience across all product initiatives.

A LITTLE ABOUT YOU:

  • At least 5 years of combined experience in linguistic program management, product strategy and/or project management
  • Extensive experience developing ELL and / or ESL products
  • Deep understanding of offline and online modalities, and how to craft learning experiences across both platforms
  • Ability to lead a comprehensive language strategy and execute at a hyper-growth pace
  • Relentless commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
  • Strong facilitation and project management skills: an ability to leverage working with and sourcing best in class subject-matter-experts (SMEs) from diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Proven experience managing large projects with contracted and part-time staff
  • Great team player who can work across a broad variety of functions (Tech, Product, Operations) and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong opinions about current language learning trends and a point-of-view about the current competitive landscape
  • Strongly preferred: in addition to deep ELL/ESL experience, professional knowledge of Spanish (most preferred) or another foreign language

ABOUT THE ROLE:  

Strategy and Infrastructure: Take our innovative language programs and materials (including our 20+ proprietary textbooks) to the next level, radically innovating to push the boundaries of traditional pedagogy to drive superior student outcomes and business growth

Program Design: Bring creative, outside of the box, thinking that supports a fun and entertaining approach to language learning (both online and offline)

Ideation: Work closely with our operations, tech and academic teams as well as our teachers and students to find the right problem and design the right solution.

Product Strategy: Articulate a vision to SMEs that drives towards the big picture whilst being iterative, measurable and test driven

Implementation: Manage multiple projects and teams across all three business lines and 12+ languages that improve current programs and support development of new product initiatives. Be prepared to get your hands dirty working directly with the SMEs to create new product.
