We are looking for a driven Market Manager to launch our language programming in Chicago!

Your skill set is a blend of marketing and operations savvy. You’re a resourceful “jack (or jill) of all trades” and can communicate and organize across functions seamlessly. Perhaps you’ve even successfully launched a new market previously.

On the marketing side, you know how to drive brand awareness and lead generation using a variety of different channels — sweeps, social, events, partnerships, field marketing and more. In this effort, you’ll be supported by the rest of our digital marketing team at our HQ in Brooklyn, NY. The marketing team here includes content & social, a designer, paid media/analytics, retention manager and department head.

On the operations side, you’re a fantastic problem solver and communicator. You’ll help to train and manage part-time onsite staff, who are responsible for facilitating a best-in-class customer experience and lead initiatives that grow and retain our student community in the Chicago market. You’ve managed large projects before that have many different moving pieces and are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get into the details. In this effort, you’ll be supported by the rest of our operations team in Brooklyn. The operations team here includes a teacher recruiter, three customer service associates and a department head.

As our only full-time employee in the Chicago market, you’ll be our “eyes and ears” on the ground. As such, you’ll be expected to be transparent, observant and insightful in your communications and resourceful, tactical and level-headed in your execution.

You’re ambitious and thrive in ambiguous situations. You’re seeking a hands-on marketing or operations role within a high growth early-stage startup that puts you in the heart of the action.
