Inside Sales Representative

We’ve taught over 30,000 students across 4 cities, and currently serve all 50 states with our online platform. We’re expanding to some new cities on the West Coast this summer, with the goal of setting a new standard for what language enthusiasts can expect of their school.

You’re an inside sales professional with a perfect combination of energy, humor, compassion, and competitiveness. Your enthusiasm should extend into your daily tasks, but also play a key role in offering ideas and strategies that align with the sales team's goals.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary who is motivated to make the most out of the resources available and is committed to growing an exciting career in sales. Cold-calling or prospecting experience is preferred, but not required. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a member of the Direct sales team, you’ll be responsible for presenting our group course program to new prospective students who request information via our website or through an inbound phone inquiry. You must be comfortable making a high volume of calls per day to unclosed leads, with a keen focus on accurate record-keeping using Salesforce.

A highly visible and important function of the role will be to recommend and execute strategy that improves conversion rates at every step of the sales funnel--especially close rates and key “upsell” benchmarks.

AS A PART OF THE SALES TEAM, YOU WILL:

  • Close new business consistently at or above targets by calling a significant number of potential new students daily
  • Have access to weekly 1:1 mentorship and be formally trained on the most important elements to achieving success over the phone
  • Ensure that near term prospecting pipeline is compliant with predetermined call & email cadences
  • Prepare accurate month-end reporting and present key takeaways in monthly sales meeting
  • Provide weekly reporting to your manager highlighting areas of success/concern
  • Participate in monthly in-person info sessions to showcase product to more discerning customers
  • Feel comfortable publicly presenting your thinking, strategies, and ideas to advance company’s values, unique culture, and vision for the future
  • Have a meaningful impact on the company's future as Fluent City grows their inside sales team
