Digital Marketing Intern

About Us

Today Fluent City is the fastest-growing language school in the country. We’re profitable and have recently raised a round of capital from top tier investors. Our core offering is a 20-hour in-person group language class. We teach 10 different languages and employ over 350 teachers in NYC, D.C., Boston and Philadelphia. We've got some fun new projects in the works, including expanding to new cities this year.


About you

  • We are looking for a fresh-thinking Digital Marketing Intern who is proactive, passionate and eager to dive into new learning experiences.
  • Your enthusiasm should extend into your daily tasks, but also play a key role in offering ideas and strategies that align with the marketing team's goals.
  • As a valued team player, you should possess a positive, go-getter attitude and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ideal candidate will be a data lover who is motivated to make the most out of the resources available to them during their internship endeavors at Fluent City.

The role

  • Assisting with marketing partnerships and setting up email onboarding flows
  • Setting up ads through AdWords and Ads Manager, building out UTMs for large campaigns
  • Research and planning based projects for SEO optimization and link building
  • Assisting with setting up emails and UTMs for newsletters, etc.
  • Writing ad copy for Facebook ads, within our brand voice
  • Conducting research for partnership opportunities to run campaigns with, including coming to the table with contacts, ROI potential
  • Assisting with data analysis, pulling numbers through different platforms like Google Analytics, Heap and Hotjar, in addition to learning how to pull from our backend database
  • Scrubbing and uploading email addresses from various campaigns into our main mailing lists



  • Experience with Google Analytics and using Google URL Builder
  • Knowledge of ad platforms like Facebook, AdWords and Twitter
  • Desire to learn and grow into the world of analytics and paid advertising
  • Written ad copy in the past
  • Ability to work side-by-side with our Digital Growth Lead & Retention Marketing Manager to provide assistance on research-based projects and strategy.
  • Extremely data driven and possess for finding a needle within a haystack in terms of numbers.
  • Full comprehension of Google Drive, Slack and Wordpress
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.

  • $375 week stipend
