Hello, language lovers!
Fluent City is an awesome language school with several locations in the U.S. and we are currently looking for energetic Russian teachers to join our DC team. This position is part-time, usually 4 hours a week, evening hours (6:30 - 8:30pm).
Education degree or experience teaching a foreign language is desired, but not required. We will also consider those applicants who have a natural knack for teaching and a desire to learn more.
We look forward to hearing from you.
"How many languages does Fluent City teach?"
Ten! Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Hebrew, Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Russian.
“What makes Fluent City different?”
You can expect training and workshops on a wide variety of teaching topics, professional development, lots of fun happy hours, a flexible work schedule, discounts for friends and family and 100% free unlimited language classes in any language!
“Do I need a license or certificate to apply?"
Nope, but you do need to be legally authorized to work and live in the U.S. We cannot sponsor any international applicants at the moment. And while not required, we do prefer applicants who have previous teaching experience.
“How much am I expected to work?”
All positions are part time - usually anywhere between 2 and 4 hours per week - and typically on weeknights (6:30-8:30pm) except for private lessons, which usually take place during the day.
“Are all teachers native speakers?”
Nope, we hire both native and non-native speakers.
"What is the pay?"
We are a teacher-centered organization and committed to making Fluent City the best language school in the country. So, it is no surprise that we pay our teachers top rates. The big language schools often pay their teachers $13/hour. We pay pretty much double: $25/hour.
